I've been a migraine sufferer for over 60 years but have recently begun to be constantly dizzy - even when I don't have headaches. Is it possible that this migraine symptom can show itself for the first time after so many years or should I be looking for some other cause of my dizziness?

Migraine and Dizziness
I too have suffered for many years and there are so many different symptoms I can't remember them all. I think it's very possible that dizziness is yet just another damn symptom. Do you get headaches after or with? Having said that I would still consult my GP for advice
I have suffered from daily headaches and now chronic migraine all my life. Once I hit 50 years old (I'm 52) I've had a lot of dizziness. Mine comes on in waves and lasts about 30 seconds on and off all day. I'm getting an MRI next week so we'll see. I agree that you should see your gp or nuerologist.
Thanks for your replies. I have an appointment for my GP to run a specific test. I don't know yet what it is but he mentioned something about crystals in my middle ear......
hi guys, I too have chronic migraine and dizziness and it went on for years. I was diagnosed around 12 years ago with an auto immune disease...a form of vasculitis. That was the underlying cause of my migraine. It did not respond to conventional migraine treatment and it couldn't be diagnosed by a neurologist or a rheumatologist but in the end was diagnosed by an immunologist. I now see a Vasculitis specialist and have had three heavenly years without the migraine! Anyone here who has other health considerations which may seem unrelated, you may, like me, find you have an underlying condition which is at the root of your migraine.
