My neurologist has proposed it. I won’t find out if my GP will prescribe it as it’s very expensive.

I’m also taking vitamin B2, Riboflavin 400mg and have stopped eating cheese (sigh!). I’m hoping that the prophylactic Rimegepant will permit me to eat cheese again!

Id be glad of any feedback on this new drug please!

thanks

Presecribed it over two months ago. Be warned it seems very difficult to get hold of! Ordered more and it’s taken weeks to replace.

Used twice so far. Works very quickly. Slightly strange med to take, comes in the form of a wafer lozenge that you put under the tongue and leave to fully dissolve.

It acts to stop the aura within 15 minutes of onset for me, in both attacks. Felt a little dizzy, but no more so than in stage 2 of an attack. No headache, felt tired the day after like I had a migraine but everything else was so much more manageable.

Would say it’s the best onset medicine I have taken.

I’m taking it once every 48h as a preventative and it’s working very well

Best treatment I've had , and is used for cluster headaches is verapamil, and until that medication kicked in I was using sumaptrapin injections pens, either 3mg 4× a day or twice 6mg daily, I've been on topiramate for a couple of years previously however even going onto the maximum dose this stopped working, even having nerve block injections in the base of my neck failed to cure my problem.

Not what you're looking for?
