Losing the will.

princess-chiobits profile image

Hello there.

I have had migraines since I was 8 and I am now 24. I have tried nearly all of the medication prescribed at the doctors, have counselling to deal with anxiety and other issues, have used tiger balm and other oils but as I have used these too much I now have an allergic reaction. I am seriously losing the will to live as these attacks are so painful, I lay down and cry in a dark room and these attacks can last for more than two weeks average. I have one nearly every day and I really do not know what to do. If anybody has any suggestions I would very much appreciate it x

Hi I feel so sorry for you. I too have cluster headaches but have got them a lot more bearable. There are many things I do and I'm not sure which has helped most or whether it's a combination of all. I gave up alcohol, tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and all meds. I went through hel for months. I had a daith piercing last November that helped, I take magnesium, evening primrose, glucosamine, fever frew, and cod liver oil daily.. I have a chi machine which I find very relaxing and helps me sleep. I have started having one cup of coffee in the evening which I was told would help. My migraine always started during the night. I also do neck and shoulder excercises. Well there you go just some of the things I do oh and no chocolate and just stopped eating bananas. Like I say mine are far more under control now. I hope this helps. Good luck

Thank you so much for your reply!

I do drink coffee 😓 but I don't drink alcohol or smoke so that's something suppose!

I was told that wheat, gluten, meat and other fruits like plums and as you've said bananas can cause them? I found that anything with orange in it causes mine, and MSG. I'm being referred to an allergy clinic to see what I'm allergic to, but I'll watch what I eat from now on and see what happens.

Thanks again for the tips- I take feverfew and cod liver oil capsules, but will have a gander at your other suggestions! 💜💜

I have also looked into the Daith piercings- this looks very interesting and surprisingly one piercing I haven't had!

Also, to anyone that is reading, I regularly use Henna (the natural powder that is a green colour) and mix with vinegar until it's thick enough to paste but has a slightly runny consistency. I cover the whole of my head with this mixture and place something on my head to stop or dripping (like any hairdye). I use a plastic bag to cover my hair. It is best to leave this on for over 4 hours, or over night- place an old towel on your pillow just in case. Rinse in the shower when you are ready, wash through with warm water until no yellow water is running, and I recommended washing your hair 3 times with shampoo.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone who suffer with this condition. Let me know if the henna works for you too :)
