I am to have a general anaesthesia and with no diagnosis of myasthenia but fitting symptoms for years and told by one doc they think it is and another no (though I guess the question there is why not ,when you admit you dont know enough about it to diagnose) I am worried about the anaesthetic and any problems it might pose if I do have myasthenia. Im quite worried of any negative effect, by breathing is already bad and times of high heart rATE , but this diagnostic limbo is a worry and the general anaesthesia is of something unlinked.
Also has anybody suffered with very blue sclera in eyes with mg thankyou

My mum was diagnosed with MA years ago, she passed away over 13 years ago at the age of 91.
I hope I can reassure you in telling you she had surgery in her upper chest to remove a benign growth aged 84 and considering her age, she bounced back! Surprised us all especially me when I went to see her. She recovered well.
Surgery is nerve racking at age and with any number of health problems. I feel for you and am sure you'll be fine. As someone suggested let the hospital know how concerned you are xxx
Thankyou yes im probably over thinking it , glad your mum was ok and bounced back, im sure I will be fine especially with the appreciated reassurance.🙏xx
If you have the opportunity to speak with the anesthesiologist tell them you have breathing problems. I did this when my mom had surgery. She has seronegative MG. I’m in the US so I don’t know if there is a different protocol in the UK, but the anesthesiologist always comes in to meet you before the surgery here. It set my mind at ease. Have a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
