My boyfriends son has Congenial Myasthenia and was a really poorly baby before his diagnosis. He is now 12yrs old, he has his medicine everyday and he is absolutely full of beans. Plays football, swims, rides his bike and behaves like a normal grouchy teen. I understand that not all cases are as lucky as we are which is my my boyfriend is running the London Marathon for Myaware and I will be running Milton Keynes half Marathon for Myaware. We know that whatever amount of money raised will never amount to the support that the charity gave to my boyfriend and his family at the time of diagnosis (I wasn’t on the scene at that point) but we felt that even if it was just a little bit then they know how grateful we are to this incredible organisation.
