This video is fantastic!! Every one living in the United States need to see this. I have been researching the role good nutrition plays in mental health for some years, now. At the same time, I have gradually been changing my diet. A great impact has definitely been made on my health and emotional well being. To the point I have given up taking SSRI's all together. No depression return.

Thanks for posting, Barbiestar!

1. He’s a quack. I stopped listening shortly after he linked autism to vaccinations.

2. It isn’t true that more women than men suffer from mental illnesses. That myth began centuries ago and promulgated by men to explain mood shifts in women during menstration and pregnancy.

3. Statistics can be manipulated to prove almost anything you want them to prove. Does the opening chart really show increases in mental illness? Read the title. Cases of mental illnesses per capita have not increased but actual advances in diagnosing and treatments have.

Anyone can make a YouTube video and say anything they want. When I need to learn how to make an adjustment on my camera I use YouTube. When I am looking for accurate medical information I look for reputable sources. In my case of bipolar disorder, one of my sources is bpMagazine and bpHope.com. There are so many places to look, including talking to your pdoc.

...and it would seem to be obvious that proper nutrition helps your mind and body just as sleep does.

It is not obvious to a lot of people, who have eaten processed food their entire lives. People who are unaware just how heavily laden their food is with pesticides and herbicides, also unaware of the impact these poisons have on their health over time. How many people actually know that just three chemical elements are needed for 'healthy' plant growth? These are: Potassium, Nitrogen, Phosphorous All available in synthetic form. Growing food is an industry. I repeat, an industry. There is no concern about whether people are getting the nutrition they need to be healthy. A by-product of that mind set is a boom for the medical industry. Food corporations do not replace the vitamins and minerals in the soil that we need, and have always expected to be in our food. If it's not in the soil. it's not in the plants. If it's not in the plants, we don't get the nutrition we need from the food we eat. How many know that many countries are refusing food from the U.S. because it is so toxic. I will say that again. Food from the U.S. is toxic.

I dare say that you, Crinkster, are the quack, and most likely being paid by the food industry to refute their food is toxic. And i didn't mention that food is being genetically modified. Called GMO's. A gene from another plant having the desired characteristics is placed in another plant to achieve the desired characteristic. Stuck in, haphazardly, without regard fro what it might do to the genetic structure of the plant. No tests conducted to find out what gene manipulation will do to our genetic structure.

The first genetically modified food to go on the market was in the 1990's. It was a tomato. They wanted the tomato to last longer on the shelf. It was dry and tasteless. Since then, thousands of different species of food have been modified and is on the market. The dangers of food modification has been tested in various European universities. The studies included thousands of people and were conducted over several years time. Not the lame attempts conducted by U.S. universities, where studies last a few weeks, at best, and are often skewed, if results are not what is wanted.

To those of you reading this, and to know more, I urge you to research on your own, before it is too late. Many of the websites that I used to rely on are gone. Others have taken their websites to the world wide web, and established themselves. Yes, the food , medical, and every other industry is trying to eliminate and destroy the truth from us. There are people like Crinkster, who hunt, and try to destroy valuable information.

It is your health. It is your life. It is your choice. For the time being, anyway.

Excuse me, Crinkster. I am so upset about what is going on with our food supply. i guess I got carried away. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I found your attack on the posted video to be very similar to a lot of the attacks I have seen on those trying to get the word out about the U.S. food supply. I don't know what else to say about it, except perhaps we could agree to disagree.

I first heard about the link between vaccines and autism, when Dr. Johnson, a former corporate scientist, found he could not live with his conscience any longer. He made the public announcement that he was part of the research team that investigated the link between autism and the MMR vaccine. When a strong correlation was found, the team was ordered to skew the results to show that no link was found. European studies conducted have also found the link between vaccines and autism. Since that time (2002), autism rates continue to rise at an alarming rate.

Dr. Johnson deserves the support and honor of the American people for being brave and ethical enough to let us know of the dangers of vaccines. The danger lies in the preservatives being used. Mercury, often called thimerosal, and aluminum are heavy metals that the body cannot process. The mercury and aluminum remain in the body, finding it's way into the brain, causing autism and other neurological conditions.

We are told that the tiny amounts of mercury and aluminum being used are harmless. I want to know the reason we are being lied to. I want to know why we and our children are becoming sicker than any other generation. Sure, the vaccines have nearly eradicated many of the childhood diseases earlier generations suffered from. My generation, for example, caught those childhood illnesses, recovered (nearly all of us), and gained life-long immunity. Is it a fair trade , to not have those illnesses, but have many more suffer a lifetime of neurological disease?
