I've been taking it for over 15 years now but I have bipolar once you stop taking it. I ended up in the several times, trying to get off this drug and start another. I don't think a child should take this drug! And I also feel there is something addicting about this drug, it's very, very hard to get off it. It's very hard to manage your weight on this drug and it makes you very tired.
