Thank you.
Have you been checked for prostatic issues or urinary tract infection? Has diabetes been excluded? If not, that should be the next step. Talk to your doctor.
Yes I have tests done but all ok.
Medical mystery then! Glad the tests are ok. It’s good that the frequency doesn’t extend to night time.
Have you consulted an urologist?
Yes and after various tests he suggested doing floor exercises and bladder training. My GP has recently put me on 5mg finasteride which I am trying.
OK. Then you GP must think that it is a prostate issue. That drug is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor which is prescribed to reduce prostate size.
The kegal floor exercisers and bladder training certainly helped me.I am now down to an average four times a day and rarely during the night. Counter intuitive perhaps but also drinking more water helps.
Good luck
Thank you I will certainly give it a shot. How many times were you going before and how long did it take you to get where you are now. Did you have urgency at the same time.
I am 57 now and was probably at my worst from 35 - 45I would be going every few hours and usually three times a night and as soon as I woke. During the day had no real urgency but I would often wake and had to dash to the loo.
Think possibly my problem stemmed from driving for a living, where I had little choice but to hold on, then going to factory work where I went at every opportunity ?
It took a few months but I could feel improvement as time went on.
as the Nurse told me. The more you go, the more you need to go !
Have you checked with your doctor? This can, but certainly not necessarily, be a sign of cancer!
