Yes,it’s very helpful..it’s recommended that you bath it in warm salty water for 5 minutes at least twice a day…I posted this on another question,I’ll put it here for you as you might find some of it helpfulPost Circumcision Care……

The clinic will give you some dressings and maybe some antibiotic cream to cover the first few days post op.But once you’ve got past the first 3 -4 days then you’ll need to be ready to do everything yourself, dressings wise, cleaning the wound site and coping with the sensitivity and nighttime erections.1:You’ll need gauze squares, something like Betadine ointment,a cohesive/self adhesive bandage(Elastoplast do one)and Vaseline. This will cover all your dressing change needs.

2:When you change your dressing, loosen it all off in the shower first, the gauze tends to stick to the frenulum area as that’s where most seepage occurs and it drys onto the gauze..believe me,you don’t want to yank that off!😫Soak it off,a much, much, much better option.

3:The glans will get dead skin and gunk etc as it keratinises so twice a day soak your penis in glass of warm salty water for 5 minutes or so,this will loosen whatever dead skin, gunk or debris that has built up and keep the glans and wound site nice and clean and speeds up healing.

4:The major drawback post op is the sensitivity,it varies from person to person…some guys don’t find it too much of a problem and just push through without too much inconvenience, others(like me) have a harder time of it.I’d always recommend if you’re sensitivity is high to wrap the glans with Vaseline covered gauze and keep the penis pointing upright in tight boxer shorts to reduce movement.Seamless micropore boxers are great for this, get the size smaller than you usually get as you want everything to be held in position as much as possible.

5:Shave everything!….hair and stubble are NOT your friends in the healing stage.

6:Nighttime erections..these aren’t fun, they’ll wake you up through the night for the first 10-14 days, don’t drink anything after 9pm and go to the loo before you go to bed,a full bladder gives you an erection, once awake, walk around this’ll drain the blood from your penis to the legs quickly.I also had a bag of frozen peas in the freezer ready to stap on my erection as well to get it down fast.

7:Don’t touch it for anything other than wound care or dressings for six weeks,no wanking or sex at all! You’ll just damage the incision site and prolong the healing process.

Hopefully this covers most of the problems,it makes it sound worse than it is,it’s inconvenient for a short time rather than bad or painful, and by week 6 you can pick up where you left off…I’ve no regrets getting circumcised at all,so good luck😊👍
