Hello, I’m about to have an important event I need to attend to. It will be 4 and a half weeks after my circumcision. My stitches are gone but It is still very sensitive, so until now I have stayed at home and only worn a t shirt. Can you please tell me if there is something that I can wear to feel minimum discomfort and be able to walk properly. Any advice is appreciated.

Please help me with what to wear. I have an important event coming up 4 weeks after circumcision.
I’m no doctor what so ever, but had circumcision myself 4 weeks ago. After 2 weeks, i began walking a bit every day. It hurt quite a bit at the start because of the sensitivity, but slowly got better. Today i have no pain at all. I think the key is to try and walk a bit every day. By leaving it resting without underwear, you aren’t training the skin for the extra toughness it needs in the future. Hope it helps
Thank you for your help. If you don’t mind me asking, what type of underwear did you find the best for the sensitivity, loose or tight? And did you use anything to cover your glands at first?
I was suggested to use tight underwear to hold the penis upright to help healing of swelling. I used tight boxers. I had a 3-pack below my size so switched between them as i couldn’t get to wash them all. I found it impossible to keep it upright when not laying in bed so only had it upright when laying down. As to what i found comfortable, i didn’t. However, i don’t know if there was a better alternative. Only thing is my boxers had a 3 line vertical sewing inside the front, causing the middle one to always rub extra hard. I would suggest using som with none or with 2 lines as there would be no line in the middle. I used napkins for men in between the glans and the boxers, but i dont think it made a difference sensitivity wise. It mainly helped the penis not sticking to the boxers when the discharge and blood dried to glue causing possible tearing (had an infection). In hindsight, i would probably have just used nothing in between the glans and the boxers if discharge and blood wasn’t an issue.Hope it helps, feel free to ask if you need more answers mate
Thank you so much for your advice mate. I finally started wearing briefs today and your tips really helped!
By that time all will be fine Bro!
Not sure why you are worried - most people walk around (albeit slowly) and do most regular daily activities within few hours of the procedure.
So wearing regular clothes and going for meetings should not be an issue.
If you are experiencing heightened sensation when you walk then you can address that by wearing a fitting brief and keeping your penis upwards against your lower abdomen pointing to your belly button.
Removing/trimming the pubic hair should also help. And perhaps a wrap around the penis will also help make you feel more secure and confident. If you have some gauze around the penis shaft wrap up using the 3M self adhering strech bandage wrap.
For Sensitivity, I definitely recommend wrapping your penis with gauze. This is what I did and it helped a lot with the sensitivity in the beginning. I am now 3 weeks post-op and my sensitivity issue is 90% gone.
