Any tips and tricks, been at it for a couple hours doing it gently. The Doc suggested a shower then to go for it. It’s at the back of the head where there is a tonne of stitches and glue!

Removing gauze
Well, are you sure there was glue used, if you still have a tonne of stitches. Is there dried blood on gauze?

Yea the doc did both and said as much when I rang him. The nurse said to try over the next few days and see how I go. Such a pain, it’s the worst part yet.
Ok. I understood you managed to remove most of the gauze? If the gauze stuck in glue it is quite hard to remove. I'd rather try to cut most of them with scissors and leave the rest. It's not end of the world, if there is 1x1 cm strip on frenulum area.
sit in the shower if you can, let the gauze get wet. the dried blood will liquefy so you can more easily remove it, but go gently. after its removed dry it properly
Run a bath and lie in there for 15 minutes and then whilst still in the bath try to take it off, I remember how sore it was and it took a couple of days to get it all off
