Is this typical of a tight foreskin?

I'm having a bit of an issue and was hoping someone may be able to offer advice as to whether it is typical for a mildly tight foreskin.

I believe the tight foreskin resulted from a bout of thrush caused by washing my glans with a new shower gel and irritation that followed.

Could the below symptoms be caused by a slightly tight foreskin or should I be looking at something else underlying.

*Foreskin comfortably retracts when flaccid and moist (in shower etc) but when not lubricated it almost peels back off the glans slowly as opposed to sliding.

*Slight splaying of the urine stream even though i wouldn't say it is weak. There is also some slight dribbling at the end.

*Foreskin can be retracted when erect and isnt painful but is slightly uncomfortable and it does result in inflammation after sex.

*I should add that sometimes when flaccid if it feels uncomfortable down there relief can be gained by pulling the foreskin, almost as if it stops the foreskin from sticking to the glans temporarily.

The only medication I have used are canesten which improved the original symptoms and fucidin H recently which hasn't had any impact. All creams provide relief due to making the glans/foreskin more lubricated but revert back once these are ceased.

It sounds like you may still have something going on - thrush/balanitis maybe? Any option to see your GP? If under lockdown, can you do a video consult, or send pics for a virtual?

Thank you for the reply. It could possibly be the case. I have seen a doctor who prescribed the fucidin h but this did not make any difference so I guess it is not a bacterial skin condition.

I may well give the canesten 2% cream another go for a full 2 weeks and see if conditions improve. If not I guess it will be another visit to the doctors.

And there is nothing wrong to spread any fragrance free moisturizer on penis after all this. Mucosal tissue won't need any new sporty soap based shower gel anyway. Those just dry the mucosa too much.

As you have found some soap products can cause dryness leading to other problems. The canasten and fucidin should help, you could also try cocoa butter. It is worth checking that you are not being re-infected by your partner. They could have thrush without showing symptoms.

The two streams are something I occasionally have, since being circ'd. Can't say I know why and usually a quick shake or tug has it back in-line.

Hi you could try dermal 200 it's very good to get showered with and when you dry you can put some on your bits it's a antimicrobial and moisture for the management of dry skin and pruritic good luck

Thanks for the comments and advice. I believe my symptoms are from mild phimosis from the initial bout of thrush which has cleared up and not returned.

Looking in to it, I fall in to the mild category, where when flaccid it isn't tight and when erect there is slight discomfort. So it seems best to treat now with a steroid cream while I can.

What is the best option for this in the UK that a pharmacist could provide? I see info online on the below:
