Have been on continuous combined HRT for about 3 years with no problems. (Had a fibroid removed in 2021).3 months ago the GP recommended I increase oestrogel pumps from x2 to x3 daily as I was complaining of fatigue.
5 days ago I started bleeding with period pain/cramps. GP advised I stop HRT and review in a month. Is this sound advice as anxious re effects of going 'cold turkey' and fact I may have something else going on?
Thanks in advance.

Hi don't know if this helps but I had problems with some HRT brands and went to Kliovance with great success (good libido and not at all dry) and no side effects. I've now been on it 15 years and it is great (had it a bit early). I'm in a menopause group and we all use B12 drops (better absorbtion if other things going on in stomach and digestion) or pills to conteract fatigue. Really helps - all ages too. A lot of us also avoid carbs or carb heavy diets as this can make you more tired too. (Great with weightloss too!) Cheers Sarah
Do - I've discovered that for many women, the act of ageing, the menopause, thyroid changes etc is far more complex than just a drug that may help - there are many other things - especially how the stomach acid may change (affecting absorbtion of many things but especially essential vitamins, and also gut diversity) and how you can become more sensitive to what you eat, smell or touch as you age. For most people on here solving how we can live our best lives, is a journey but with great support with others. Also for me life is far better on HRT and Dr's seem very keen to take me off it whenever I've had a problem - and it has never been the HRT!
