No support given here either. I was air lifted to a hospital in Denver about 200 miles from where I live, AND we have no insurance, so I was out of the hospital after 2 weeks, then I stayed at my dad's house for 8 days after that trying to get well enough to travel the 3 1/2 hours home (even after that long the drive was excruciating). When I got home I had several useless visits to my old family doctor. (I've since switched Drs after seeing this one for 13 years), but his PA's were of NO help. My new Dr is helpful with suggestions but I've yet to find any real lasting help from the medical profession, I don't think they know enough about meningitis.
