Bacterial meningitis

It has been almost 4 years since I was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis from a ear infection. This is my question, received a cortisone injection in the knee and ever since have had headache/head pain/ear pain/dizziness and nausea. These are all side effects from the injection, but shoot away in 48 hours. From time to time I still get head pain and ear pain with it, but doesn’t last for 2 weeks. Anyone else have their meningitis symptoms kick in from a cortisone shot?

Hi. Like you, i had bacterial meningitis 4 years ago. Also had a steriod injection in my knee last june. Cant say that i had any extra symptoms after having the injection, but do suffer now from motion sickness and dizziness. Usually this is worse after a sinus infection which i am now prone to having. ( my meningitis stemmed from a sinus infection ) Also have balance issues and headaches which appear to be common post meningitis. I was prescribed an antihistamine medication which does help although does make me even more tired !. Worth speaking to your Doc to ask, although the symptoms that we can be left with appear to vary person to person.

Have they looked into a CSF leak.Do you leak clear fluid from one side of your nose it feels strange like cold water.
