Does anyone here live in Australia and have been put on disability support pension after suffering from v/m? What proof did you need and ongoing symptoms accured that made you eligible for it?
Thanks Kylie

Following.
I am. Interested also.
I don't feel ready to work yet. With triggering symptoms.
I know it's hard to stay focused and I can't sit still lay down for too long neck crunches headaches muscles ache and I thought this was normal my whole life 20per cent hearing loss in my left ear depression or though I'm a positive person
And I still love life and wouldn't change anything like everything you learn to live with it!😊
You have to provide evidence that you cannot work for at least two years.
I'm in the US, so I can only comment on that. I didn't apply until 9 months after getting sick, because I read the warning that you needed to expect to be ill for at least 12 months. Well, I wasn't expecting to be ill for that long. Two years later, I am still struggling (but so much better than before; I was also really helped by moving out of my mold-ridden apartment).
I wish I had applied sooner. Here, it's common to get turned down the first two times, and then have to get a lawyer. My attorney said that part of my case rests on the fact that I've worked my entire life and then suddenly couldn't. And on my articulateness in expressing what happened. Good luck with applying!
