I've been on my journey to wellness for nearly 5 years now. I'm pleased to say that I'm full back to my energetic levels, perhaps more energy than before.
I've entered a 10km run for charity and I have been really training well. I will do this challenge this weekend.
I'm so excited because after my meningitis I had chronic fatigue. It took a long while until I could walk my dog again, slowly I got back into a routine.
I did loose my businesses and my partime work. I had to let go.
I decided to get better naturally and holistically, eating healthy immune boosting diet, meditation, mindfulness and I've changed my whole career in the process.
I found a technique that helped regain balance in my energy and I visualised running over the finish line at my local park run of 5km, I've done that 6 times already this year.
I'm not sharing this to impress you but to impress upon you the idea that you will do it too.
I had to take each day as it came and celebrate the tiny wins.
I'm my new career I have become a professional hypnotherapist and life coach.
I help people get the balance back in there life so they too can move forward. I've worked through the pain, frustration and depression, I've learned to listen to my body, listen and let go. I've learned to say no and become focused on myself care first. I have so much gratitude for what happened because it has changed my life for the better. I really cherish each day, and every evening I say or write all that I am grateful for.
I wanted to share this because I know how it feels, not to know how long and if you will get better. For you to know this is temporary and it doesn't have to define you, you don't have to own it. It will end and you will be able to look back and join up the dots of how you overcome this too.
I'm 45 mother of 2 girls and my dog lola.
I'm in the grey top after recently completing a local park run of 5km
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
