Question about relapse

Hello everyone. I'm so glad for this support group, and lift you all up in prayer almost daily. I've been out of the hospital 6 weeks now foe BM and suffered alot the mont of May. But by the 1st of June was feeling much better. Able to spend longer times out, headaches less severe, etc. I have read through people's posts of relapses, but it was usually due to trying to go back to work too early. 5 days ago I went out and ran several errands more than usual and started feeling bad while I was out. By the time I got home, I had to lie down. I had zero energy, my headache was the worse it has been since I was in the hospital, and I had a low grade fever. This lasted 3 days. But now I still feel like I'm back at the beginning. I am up off the couch and doing very light things(like showering LOL!) Has anyone experienced this? Feeling improvement for 2 weeks and relapsing over nothing really unusual? If so, how long did it take to recover from it? I know you're not suppose to overdue it, but I don't completely know my limits, and I definately wasn't discharged from the hospital with a "This is what you can and can't do" sheet. Ha Ha. They didn't even warn me I would have any side effects.

Hi melpars this happened to me all of the time for about the first 4 months. I would also get swollen glands with it and sore throats. I had consistent temp of approx 37.5 Celsius for about 4 months after meningitis. I'm now 11 months post and this has all improved greatly. It honestly just takes time. You need to rest in a dark , quiet room when this happens to recharge and rest your brain. You've been through a lot
