Bacterial meninigitis

Hi I was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis after spinal anethestic and admitted for 8 days, I had iv antibiotics for two weeks and coedine paracetamol. I still get a horrible headache and vision blurred. I am just over three weeks now, any advice

I have had viral meningitis so I know it’s not the same but I can tell you from that that I had headaches for many weeks and for a couple years I would get headaches every time it rained or if it was really bright. I still wear a hat most of the time in the summer to help. Rest a lot! And drink a lot of water! And most importantly, if you start to feel anxiety/depressed get help! This is one of my most severe post meningitis problems and I am just now (2.5) years later accepting that I need to talk about it. God bless you in you’re healing.

Not sure why you're taking codeine. I had headaches from that eventhough it is for pain. I have found that for bad headaches that Sumatriptan worked best for me. Talk to you doctor about your headaches. Hopefully you will find some relief. Rest & little stress also helps.
