Rhyzotomy for post meningitis headaches?

My husband had West Nile Virus with viral meningitis in 2015. Since then he has been suffering from daily headaches. He has been treated with various medications with little relief. His headache specalist has suggested a cervical rhyzotomy for pain since he had positive results from local nerve injections. Has anyone else had this procedure and what type of results did you get? Thanks in advance.

I had viral meningitis in May/June 2015. I still get headaches daily and my GP has told me another patient had headaches for 4 to 5 years post encephalitis, so not to be too concerned. I've not tried any particular treatment, on the strength of this.
