So I was diagnosed with VM in 2014, my 18th birthday of all days! But I cannot seem to shake any symptoms, the recurring headaches, constantly being tired... etc. Doctors tell me to 'take painkillers you'll be fine' I'm actually tired of being pushed to one side! Anyone have any advice or places I can call to get help with any of this?

Phone the nurses on this site. They give great advice.
I had VM 2013. It took till this year for me to be able to be fully active again. I was a national hockey player.
If you feel tired you have to stop and slow down. Just pushing through the tiredness makes it way worse and gives you a headache of monster proportions.
I has a headache after for 6 months and when ever I did any activity my head pounded. Little by little I pushed the limit and now I am fully active.
Took me 4 years to get to be able to drink a glass of wine without a pounding headache.
Just remember, you have had a 'closed head injury'.
Good luck. Be kind to yourself.
