life does get better

My son had meningitis ten years ago. He became ill on our wedding day. We were told our son would die!! Alex came through with lots of after effects from being in a wheelchair to kidney failure. We thought our lives had ended. Infact Alex has turnned his life around and shown us that life can still be good, you just have to work a little harder at it.

Alex has won so many awrads for all his volunteering work he does. His determination is amazing. He has shown us as parents to keep your chin high in the air and keep smiling!!!!!

Life after meningitis isnt the end its infact the begining of a new life, which can be just as good you just have to work a little harder at it!!!!

Come on together we can beat this!!!!!!

Speaking as someone who also had meningitis 10 years ago and who is this year going to complete a Half Ironman triathlon in 2012 it's great to see other people seeing life after meningitis as the start of something new. An inspirational post, thank you!

i am so sorry your son has meningitis but its lovley to read that he is doing so well. My daughter is 6 months old now and i feel like she is slowly getting better but reading this has reasured me that with time she will get better and acheive things like your Alex. I wish the best for your son xx
