Hi Neice1I am on watch and watch and my child is 27! However when he was three I had to have a hysterectomy. I prepared him with book from library something on the lines of mummy has to go into hospital. I was lucky that my husband had 6 weeks off work to help me with recovery. Friends helped with looking after my son. He also went to pre-school in the mornings and friends took him so then I had a bit of respite. You will probably have to explain in simple terms you sometimes need to rest on bed/sofa to get better. Get as much help as you can. I hope all goes well and wish you well x
