My wife is starting it this Tuesday.

Yes, I had this after surgery - it's to mop up any remaining bits of tumour and hopefully stop any regrowth.

How many treatments did you have? Did you have any side affects from it? My wife starts today. She will get 30 treatments.

I had the Gamma knife radiotherapy - the Consultant decided that was more suitable for me. It was only one session which lasted about 90 minutes. I understand the side affects can be just the same as the 30 sessions. I had no major reactions to it at all, and it seems to have been successful. I do get the 'wobbles' from time to time but probably haven't been doing my balance exercises as often as I should! I'm sure your wife will sail through the treatment and I wish her well. Where was her tumour located?

Glad to hear yours was successful. My wife had two tumors. One at the back right side of her head. They got all of that one out. The other one was under the brain stem. The brain stem was the difficult one for them and they only were able to get 3/4 of that one. Hopefully the radiation goes well or it might be a long 6 weeks.
