My son is transitioning slowly into a supported living placement. He has a car with PIP high rate mobility element of which is in my name his Mum as the sole driver with which I use to help him to go to his medical appointments, shopping and activities etc .His placement will only be 10 mins away from my home.When he moves completely into his supported living placement what happens with the car . I contacted the car dealership motability specialist and they said I could still use it because it's in my name for the three year lease .
Does any one have any experience with this .Do I have rights as a parent.
My concern is will my son sit next to someone else in his car when it has always been his Mum ?
Will my son only allow me to take him to appointments etc .
Do you have to be a severe case to be offered supported living?
