Does your LD child have NHS provision for day services?
I think with my son a day provision will keep him occupied and away from people who take drugs but the mainstream providers in my area don't want him as he's a risk. I think NHS days centres are more inclusive to a persons challenging needs from reading from my Trusts website. But what are these challenging needs? I son needs some provision!
My son is currently having support from Framework but I personally think he's too vulnerable there and the other people who use this service are exploiting him financially, and emotionally. He's unhappy but there is no support anywhere as he scored over 80 on a IQ assessment.

Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear this, it sounds like a very tricky situation and emotionally taxing too. Unfortunately I don't have any helpful knowledge or experience here, so all I can do is reccomend reaching out to Mencap’s Learning Disability Helpline at 0808 808 1111, as I'd imagine they will have some concrete advice and guidance on where to go from here. Wishing you all the best and I hope you find the support your family needs to ensure your son's well-being and happiness
