hi there. Your situation sounds very distressing. I have a commissioned service for my son which means that the local authority find the service provider and pay them directly. The alternative is a personal budget where you as the service user are given a budget and have to find your own carers and pay them. If you are receiving a commissioned service you cannot be forced to change as far as I am aware. I have used an organisation called Bringing us together in the past to give me some guidance. Check out their website maybe Mencap can give you some help too. What local authority to you live in ? Perhaps your local councillor or MP can help you ? Even if you don’t have a dedicated social worker contact adult social services and ask for help too. Good luck

That sounds like a difficult, distressing and really disappointing change/situation — I am so sorry and I hope you have the right support again soon. I can’t offer much advice other than reaching out to people in your life or Mencap (or other organisations suggested) for help and guidance, but I am wishing you the best and you’re doing a great job already by reaching out here!
