my sister just turned 58 and sadly is showing suffering from mild dementia… she still enjoys her life in her supported living house but conversation with her is very repetitive these days. I’m wondering if this is a very common thing with Down’s and any advice ?

Hello, yes it is more common in people with Down’s Syndrome. Speak to the Down’s syndrome association. They have a helpline.

It is more common in people with Downs and occurs earlier, maybe get in touch with Dementia Uk Or the Alzheimer’s society

Hi Felix - this also sounds really tough for you. There is lots of support and information at Sibs the charity for brothers and sisters of disabled people - including a network of support groups for adult siblings. Check out more here. sibs.org.uk/support-for-adu...
