Hello everyone,

blue water sixty six here! is anyone willing or would like to support me on Meridian TV, in relation to my idea of having a disability commissioner for England? This is our opportunity to get our voices heard on our local media platform, I have spoken to a news paper reporter, who I know this morning, and he has suggessted, I reach out to you all to see if you are willing to support me on this epic topic, that we feel passionate about for ourselves and family.

Look forward to hearing from you soon

Hi 49 Twister,

thank you very much for your support, as far as I know, Meridian cover the south of England e.g., south Essex, all over Kent, and Sussex. However, what the reporter said is to see if any other families are willing to be interviewed with me (the more the better), so they can cover the story on TV. Otherwise, keep signing and sharing the petition with friends, family, colleagues etc......

Thank you

Hi,

This sounds a great idea and I would definitely support it!

I would be interested in supporting you. I live in South East London.

Could you let me know what would be involved?

Thanks

Hi all,

thank you for your support regarding Meridian TV, interviews. I was interviewed in 2021/2, in relation to my daugther's issues with her previous care providers, and the need for a disability commissioner for England. The reporter visited me at home, he was amazing Kit Bradshaw. When I requested that the compain be highlighted again, Kit suggessted I contact more families, to see if they had stories regarding care providers, or concerns with their adults care, also to see if families want the government to appoint a disability adults commissioner for England. Please let me know, and I will contact Kit to see how we can arrange this interview

Thank you very much

Hi, I had issues with the care home, daughter was restrained several times for 30 minutes held down, it had big impact, she had mental breakdown, and will never be same again. Now in new care home, she will not talk and on medication I support your petition.

Hi all,

I am not sure if giving my telephone number is allowed, to discuss Meridian interviews further? I assume, it would only be used in this context? Any suggesstions how we can meet up without breaking any protocols or GDPR issues?
