Does your child use the tool in school?

During support sessions with families, I often hear families say that they try “everything” to help their children with Toileting at home, but, their either not sure “what” happens in school or their child refuses to use the toilet in school! Resulting in holding onto wees and poos “or” having accidents!🌟But why do children avoid using the toilet in schools? Many children learn to use the toilet in one particular environment. This becomes a “familiar” “comfortable” “safe” environment. Children find these environments “predictable” with what they look, smell, sound and feel. Within a school environment, the toilets are often “not” predictable. Changes can occur such as the number of children being present, the noise, smell, routine and so much moreHere at Clear Steps Consultancy we have been working “very” hard behind the scenes, to change the approach to “school toilets” and ensure children have positive experiences in being able to use the toilet when at school. Really looking forward to sharing more with you soonSpeak soon Charmaine Continence Sleep and Behaviour Consultant Clear Steps Consultancy clearstepsconsultancy.co.uk... #clearsteps #continencesleepbehaviourconsultant #continencesleepandbehaviourconsultant #healthyschooltoiletcampaign
