Healthcare research opportunity

SustainabilityJohn profile image

As part of our work to make healthcare information inclusive and accessible, we are undergoing research on "How the healthcare organisations communicate research and healthcare information to the public".

We would like you to help us with this essential piece of work. If you are happy to help, we’ll speak to you on a video call for 30 minutes.

This is to help us understand if the information is easy to understand.

After the video call, we will send you a £20 shopping voucher by email for your support and contribution to health and social care that works for everyone.

Show interest or sign up for the research opportunity here bit.ly/3U6gMND

Thank you!

I think it would be great if my daughter took part in the interview - and she would love to earn the voucher and it would very much help you see what the barriers are with her understanding - but she cannot respond to the online questions or set this up without my help as she has a learning disability. It would be great if the form showed that a carer can help with this. Also what time on 17th and 18th November do they have to be available all day? She attends day programs and college but could do it after that - it's not clear when you have to be available.

You need to make this accessible for people with a disability if you want to get feedback from them.

Hello

Yes! You or a carer can help your daughter with the interview. I really appreciate your feedback; I will ensure the form is accessible for people with a disability.

For me, as a researcher, it is crucial that research is inclusive and for this reason, I find myself using unconventional methods to access people with disability and those whose voices aren't heard during important research like this. It is important that healthcare products and services are accessible, usable and easy to understand by everyone. Thank you again for the feedback. It is my first lesson of the day.

Once the changes have been made to the form, I will share it with you. Once you have filled out the form, you will be contacted by a researcher via email with the time slots for the interview.

We will also work with you to find a suitable time slot for your daughter.

Thank you!
