Many children are now back at school, so it seems like a good time to spare a thought for all the teachers, and teaching assistants.
Today is World Teachers' Day
so it would be lovely to hear about your teachers, past or present, that have made a difference to you.
A teacher that made a difference to me was Mr. Bruce who made me realise how much l loved reading. He even got a group of 15 year old through King Lear. He gave me confidence and made me laugh.
Thanks

Teachers who stop and listen, and really understand children are individuals, are just the best. Good point about teaching assistants. On a day to day basis they do a lot of the legwork!
Mr Palfreman, he was an incredible teacher,he didn’t write me off as everyone else did,and that was at a special school.
And I woud like to give respect to David Lewis, who started up my last specialist college (David Lewis Centre) ,his brother(?) John (of John Lewis fame) gave him the money to start it up. For such an early era i love that he cared so much about us-especially those with What woud be terminal diagnoses and that John was actually a giving man.
