Hello there! I thought it might be nice to share a bit about Dennis. Dennis is Mencaps only equine volunteer. Dennis is a miniature shetland pony who lives at home here with me in Wales. I brought Dennis from our local horse sales about 5 years ago to be a companion to my other other horses, but since then his career as a visiting pony has really taken off! As part of some of the work I do at Mencap, Dennis often comes along to meet people with a learning disability in our local area. Unfortunately, things are on stop at the moment, but we are looking forward to getting back out and about soon! Does anyone else have an unusual volunteer?

this is great - thanks for sharing. I also saw this which I thought was lovely - swindonadvertiser.co.uk/new... Can't wait till this sort of thing can start up again as I'm not sure Dennis or Milo (the dog in the story) will be very good at keeping in touch online.
