I moved my son from a supported living residence that was unsuitable. Acting on advice I moved him out of the borough, this was a massive mistake, how can I move him back?

I am unable to give you advice but I'm sure you will be able to get advice from someone on here . It is my one main fear that when the time comes for me to place my daughter somewhere how will I know it's suitable for her . I do sympathize with you

Hello multicoloured

Welcome. You have been having a difficult time, it can be so hard to know what to do for the best.

I think it would also be a good idea to talk to one of Mencap's trained advisors on the helpline 0808 808 1111 about this. They will have the time to talk to you more and make sure they understand the full picture.

If other parents and families have experienced similar problems it would be great if they would share their thoughts on here.

Please let us know how you get on.

thanks

Sarah
