Has anyone inquired about this for a possible melanoma treatment?

Have not heard of this treatment for melanoma.

I believe it’s approved for some conditions already, including breast cancer with open wounds, but not melanoma. I asked our local provider (for wound management) last year, being a believer in HoT, when my mom had open wounds from the tumors and was told no because of concern it could do the opposite in unapproved diseases. But it’s good to look into it and see where things are now officially and unofficially. Dominic Dagastino in FL does a lot of research on it.

Best, Nadia

Yeah I don’t believe it’s FDA approved because of the lack of science behind whether oxygen helps or hurts. I had an inside ear tell me he had a friend who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, was given 6 months and went to Germany for the hyperbaric treatment and has been in remission for a year and a half. The US is garbage when it comes to actually releasing FDA approved treatments because they actually work. I’ve come to find out the government won’t fund anything that is cheap. We recently stumbled across sour honey as well. I ordered it right away.

Kelly,

The research on melanoma and hyperbaric oxygen that I found was from 1974 when used in conjunction with cobalt radiation treatment. Which makes sense as a compliment for tissue restoration from the destruction that was happening from radiation at the time. The articles are also more single or super small cases rather than randomized clinical trials and were from across the world, so not a deep well of knowledge.

My friend Karen used HBO2 post mastectomy healing because her tissue was so fragile to try to conserve skin with no implant. They found having several doses was helpful in her case.

The scientists you may want to consult may have an opinion as to whether high pressue O2 could speed cell healing, or would advance/ fuel the melanoma cell expansions. I'll be interested in what you learn and what the interaction is for individuals who have had immunotherapy, which complicates the theoretical thinking.

Peace,

missy

I as well saw that research. It was quite old. From what I can see that is really what it is used for. The one in GBMC is literally in a unit called “wound unit”. I doubt the Onco will even acknowledge it, but I will mention it cause.. well.. I’m me lol. I spew out anything I can think of just to see what I’ll get. I always appreciate your wealth of knowledge. And my respect for you as a wife mother and advocate is sky high. The holidays were rough for us. Ryan’s stomach pain is intense. His fatigue is literal fatigue. Hard for him to stay awake for a few hours. This disease is the devil in flesh form. And i hate it. It takes a toll on all involved.

When I ask about it I will let you know what I hear ❤️

Kelly. We are right there with you in the high sleeping category. In Wayne’s case it is driven by the bilirubin continuing to climb and kidney function not great.

These are hard days. I honor your loving care for dear Ryan

Peace

Missy

Our onco said no. So we tried again when my dad got booty abscesses and fistulas for healing - hoping the onco would reconsider... still a no.

Right, my sister was ready to fight our onco. She was so mad and there was not a concrete reason as to why the idea was so opposed.

He is doing ok. He had clean scans on 12/2/19, He can’t seem to knock infections thought that land him in the hospital about ten days a month since July.

He has two abscess and two fistulas - and repeated surgeries to fix them.

He says if it my ass that takes me there is going to be a problem! 😂

Ryan says stuff like that all the time 😂 I am so happy you guys have clean scans it’s such an amazing feeling. As far as Onco goes, and the therapy; I think there’s not enough evidence EITHER way. So I’ve gotten to the point where why the F not ya know?
