A whole bunch of mumbo jumbo... the impression is what sums it up. He’s a big question mark; and it’s frustrating... just figured I’d share ❤️

Did your doctor tell you your husband was a big question mark? I’m confused.

Hope it’s better than it sounds.

They didn’t exactly call him a question mark. There’s just no definitive evidence that it it’s definitely one thing or the other. So we get the “I don’t knows” essentially. They can’t know for sure unless they go in surgically and biopsy the tissue that they have been seeing on the MRI.

We are doing okay considering the circumstances. We have a planned vacation to OBX August 31st - September 7th that we are looking forward to. We are hoping the steroids will fend off the symptoms that are coming from the swelling.

The surgeon that did the craniotomy thinks that another one would be beneficial regardless of what the pathology of the tissue is. It will get whatever it is (either radiated tissue or melanoma) out, so his brain has more room and will stop his symptoms he’s having from the swelling. So relieving it essentially. But this craniotomy would happen while he’s awake. The area that is affected is his language center. So to preserve that, and his quality of life; they want to keep him awake so they know how far they can poke and prod without damaging his understanding and means of communication.

We are doing our best to hold it together. It’s tough...
