Hello Shepher,

I can relate to the challenges you're facing with anxiety, depression, and the regular nausea, which in my case, I suspect might stem from my love for potato chips (or crisps, as we call them in the UK) and several handfuls of peanuts that are often loaded with saturated fat, sugar, and salt. It’s no surprise that my stomach sometimes feels off, and I frequently deal with intense heartburn, which can be quite difficult to manage.

My daily life tends to revolve around food, and unfortunately, it’s rarely the healthy kind. Over the last five years, I’ve accumulated numerous bags filled with unhealthy snacks like Pringles, peanuts, and an abundance of chocolate bars. It’s surprising that, despite this unhealthy eating pattern, my weight hasn’t ballooned, although it certainly has in the past.

I often turn to food for comfort, but deep down, I know it’s a temporary fix. Food can’t truly alleviate the profound feelings of depression, low self-esteem, and the persistent anxiety that have been with me since childhood, and I’m now approaching 58 years old.

I’m not familiar with the 10mg Amitriptyline you mentioned, but if you believe it’s contributing to your nausea, it might be wise to consult your GP about exploring alternative options, just to see if that alleviates your symptoms.

I genuinely empathize with your situation, and I can only imagine how heavy this must feel for you each day. I hope you find a solution to your stomach issues soon.

Wishing you all the best in the meantime.

Take care,

Kind regards,

Trevor.

Shepher,

You are welcome and I hope that your feeling a bit better today.

It's kind of ironic too that just as I'm writing to you, my tummy feels unsettled and I hope it won't worsen with time.

Anyway,

Take care,

Best wishes,

Trevor.

Thank you for your response

Absolutely. I'm taking ondansetron- it aids in sleep, but it's meant for nausea. I was told to take it morning, daily... I take at night, to avoid the 3am porcelain palace deposit.
