headphones whilst running recommendation

I have just received the new HUAWEI Freearc headphones which offer excellent safety features for running as they allow noise such as traffic to be clearly heard but somehow it doesn’t detract from either your guided run commentary or listening to sounds whilst running. I have worn them three times this week whilst running and they haven’t moved , slipped etc once. If anyone is after any new headphones I would seriously consider them!. I think they are that good I’ve just ordered a second pair just in case as they are currently on special offer as a new product. I was thinking of investing in the rather expensive Beats Ones as I have been using my Bose over head ones but these new HUAWEI ones have only cost me £75 and sound absolutely fantastic to my ears.

I don’t know how the technology works but the sound quality of audio is really top notch and I would think that runners either on treadmills or pavement will find these excellent. They also have a high rating to avoid damage due to perspiration etc. I would add that I have no connection with the product manufacturer and bought them myself to try after the good reviews on other sports related forums.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. They do look really neat.

I have a pair of shokz which I love. I walk alone and like to be able to hear other sounds when listening to music; I also know are never going to fall off if I'm running or cycling. But they are expensive and the band across the back can be a bit irritating when I'm walking wearing a coat with a big collar or trying to pull on a big bobble hat! Yours would get round that problem very nicely.

I did 10km last evening and they were absolutely brilliant fit wise, I completely forgot I had them on at one stage. They fit by a clever use of balancing what they are made out of and gravity to stay put. I think at the current price they are the bargain of the year considering the New Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 ( I nearly pre ordered but thankfully saw these ones by chance on a What HiFi article the same afternoon ) are over £240 and haven’t got as many favourable reviews as the previous version I’m just glad I took a chance on these. In ordered the initial pair in grey ( more a cream to my eyes ), and over the weekend i ordered a pair in black which come out today just in case I lose these ones. Apparently if you do lose one of the two the company will replace the one lost or damaged with another at 50% off. In my spare time I’m a hifi enthusiast, and am very critical of such things and these I’m over the moon with. Officially they come out today so expect some positive reviews on amazon this week , I’d be very surprised if they didn’t get 5 stars as I cannot fault them at all. You really can hear cars and other things essential to safety very clearly but not people chatting in the street etc. very very good indeed . For the current £75 price they are made very well, lovely fit and balance to them are incredibly comfortable and come with a nice charge case - nothing to complain about here.

£75 is a great price! Dare I ask where? I loked at amazon and the grey worked out at £79 I think but the black were massively more than that!

I've had a pair of [After]Shokz Aeropex for over four years now (second pair actually as the first failed within warranty and was replaced without quibble) and I've found them excellent for running.

I wouldn't personally go for the current top-of-the-range Shokz (the "Pro") because they are deliberately designed to leak sound and are not properly waterproof.

I had to replace mine just after they went out of guarantee. The battery capability tailed off massively. Of course they blamed me for how I was charging them... maybe they had a point!!!

These new freearcs have high sweat and moisture resistance far higher than the previous ones made by Huawei. Once people get wind of these at a 1/4 if the price of the Beats I’m sure a lot will go fo them, I mean why pay £250 when you can have a great pair at £79!.

The Aeropex are completely waterproof. You could swim in them (not that you'd hear much as the Bluetooth would cut out when the water blocked the signal).
