Hi everyone I just wanted to say thank you for your Pom Pom support for my race on Saturday.
In what was one of the most exciting races of the season so far I managed to beat the legend that is Pat โthe bulletโ Logan by just .01 of a second in a neck and neck race ๐ฅต .
To be fair to him he has hardly raced since the indoor world championships but we are both really happy as we achieved seasonโs best performances of 12.86 and 12.87 respectively.
My next race is a double 100 at the London Community Track in Newham on Sunday where Iโll be hoping for an even better time.
The photo is of my two Brighton and Hove masters friends, Gerry and Jimson. Gerry on my right is 77 years young and is running 100s in around 15-16 seconds. Heโs a real inspiration.
And if that isnโt enough inspiration the Para Olympics have been incredible havenโt they so far?
Gerry won two golds and Jimson gold in the 200.
Happy running everyone ๐

Iโve just been watching the wheelchair rugby, always a good one. Disappointed for David Weir in his races though. Havenโt watched enough of it this time though.
All the very best with Newham (the track wonโt be a patch on Tooting though ๐) ๐๐
Woohoo RunBrianRun , youโre the one to beat now, and will be the legend everyone is talking about! Youโve been our HU legend for a long time though, you know that!
Your bling hanger is getting impressive! Keep those medals coming, weโre loving it ๐
The Paralympics are truly inspirational, I agree. Iโve watched quite a lot this time round, and have really enjoyed it. โค๏ธ
Well done Brian, a win by a whisker, and Itโs great when it goes your way. Loving your GB running top, it will be very useful as temperatures reduce.
Good luck at Newham at the weekend- itโs all go isnโt it?
Ooh is that at Mountbatten running track? Do let me know the date and Iโll see if we are about! Not to distract you from the race, but to cheer you on in the stands, if there are stands?
Hi Dexy , yes it is the Mountbatten track. Gerry is also going and there may be a few other vets there too. It would be great to see VRBs there! Itโs on Sunday 22nd September. Itโs notoriously a low key and poorly attended event and if the weather is not good, thereโs very little cover. I donโt mind the rain but if the wind isnโt favourable (I.e. a tailwind), then I wonโt go as itโs not a race but a time trial and I need a quick time for the rankings.
The event starts at 10:00 but my race isnโt till 12:20.
