Good morning amazing VRBs, time to rub the sleep from your eyes, stretch those limbs and start waving those Pom poms frantically for three of our number who are braving the elements this weekend. Make sure that they can feel a warming wave of support as they prepare for battle!
So far we have details of three races for this weekend;
⭐ On Saturday Morning, the legendary Hedgehogs123 will be taking on the The Rauceby Ripper 10 miles. This is a multi terrain run starting in the elegant grounds of Rauceby Hall. Lots of sheep and ploughed fields too on that one I think!
⭐️ On Sunday Morning we have the astonishing aliboo70 heading out for another long run on the Isle of Wight. Starting at Ryde Harbour slipway. 10 miles of “undulating” terrain starting at sea level means lots of steep hills in any language. 675 foot height gain!
⭐️Also on Sunday we have David_G running in the Chichester 10k. This sounds like a flattish run, starting and finishing in front of the main stand of the Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. The run incorporates the British Masters 10k Championship! A great PB venue apparently. Now David, we don’t mind a few “go faster”racing car noises as you go round, but we don’t want your long comeback journey to be interrupted!
Good luck everyone.. Run well, run safe, and bring home the bling! We look forward to your race reports.
If we missed anyone with an event this weekend or later in the month, please let us know as soon as possible. There is a pinned post from Linda you can use to send us details.
A happy weekend of running to everybody!!

Thanks Beachcomber66 I’m looking forward to my first real event of this year👍It won’t be speedy and I’ll walk as and when I need to🏃♂️but I’ll get round somehow! 😊
Thanks everyone,I'm not feeling very confident but will give it a go, 🤞think this is my 4th time doing it! Had my osteopath app on weds and had some adjustments made and need to work on my posture. I'm going to just trot round and try to enjoy! The views on the seafront are always lovely ! Xxx 😁🏃♀️
You will be fine aliboo7. You know what you are doing and won’t push too hard. Weather looks better this weekend…we have had our own private monsoon up here, but the water has largely been soaked up now. The wind has swung around a few degrees too and has lost its chill. Looks like a nice weekend to run👍
haha thank you, don't think Ive ever being described as 'legendary' before! 😅
Im certainly going to give it my all 🤞. I haven't looked at Facebook to look at pictures of the course in its present sate, as Im told it looks quite muddy😬
Hello Beachcomber and runner beings, February looks like a good time to join the races, and my Pompey pom-poms are ready for shaking.
Good luck to Hedgehogs123 at what sounds a very tough 10 miles. Hope it’s not too muddy for you.
Salutations sent across the Solent to the lovely aliboo70 who I’m pleased to see is back to scaling the heights of IoW again. And another 10 miles!
Then just to the east of us, good luck to David_G at Chichester. The Goodwood stadium is a great place to start and finish a race, with iconic 1920s buildings.
You were his undercover. field agent today, watching out for transgressors (except that everyone knows you)…..or you just had a nice Park Run. I really enjoyed my intervals. NRC makes them so straightforward and you can see all of your interval times displayed, so week on week comparison is easy.
