Sunday morning 20 mile week 1 of 12 Chester marathon training my longest run ever. This should of been a 16 week program but 2 weeks of it I’m away on holiday in Cornwall and I also have 2 races on a Sunday when it should be marathon long runs Ron Hill Accrington 10K Sunday 14th August and Southport Seaside 10K 4th September. So I have a slightly adjusted marathon training plan. My coach has altered it for me so I’m in good hands I was supposed to do 16-18 but I mentally dug in my coach did say that’s amazing but I should of stayed between 16-18 as I run regular 15 mile Sunday runs when I’m not tapering for a event.

Well done 20 miles is a big achievement! Don't overdo it though your coach will know what's best to acheive your marathon goal 👌

Running Bee keep sending me emails about that Accrington 10K.

Best of luck!

My longest run so far has been just over 16 miles. Clocking out 20 miles at the start of a marathon training programme is intense.

You could claim a Metric Marathon badge for that (20 miles is 32km which is more than 26.2km).
