Hi, I didnt get to run 10k this week. I am doing my HM on Tuesday on my 70th birthday - a present to myself - but it will be a really really slow run/walk as I seem to have lost all my fitness following a 3 week hiatus in October for influenza!!
Well done to all those who did their HM and 10ks for this HUHM challenge xx
I did another HM this weekend, this time in the much hillier area of the LlΕ·n Peninsula in NW Wales.
The really odd thing is it was only two minutes slower than my previous one, even though the elevation gain was nearly three times as much, I had a walk break for a particularly steep hill, and I stopped to take photos a few times.
I found this too -my flat 10k was only 2 minutes faster than hilly and yes I stopped for photos too on hilly one! I have a sneaky feeling I find the hillier ones feel easier too? I found the flat a challenge on canal and on an old railway route!
So weβll done everyone! Immensely impressive! I managed to have joined in for only 5k of the HUHM/10k experience last weekend but am now on the IC and biding my time until I get out those RunGo routes and run them as I start gently coming away from the IC again.
But WOOOHOOO !!!! What a collection of achievements.
Sorry to sat I haven't been able to complete HM.I really do appreciate all the effort you have gone to and even though I am too late for the HUHM I will hopefully use the commentary when I do complete.
