Its Morton's Neuroma, apparently. Booked in for a biomechanical evaluation with a view to custom orthotics. So that'll be fun... Really hope it works too. My bloody feet are killing me!
Foot Update: Its Morton's Neuroma... - Fun Beyond 10K & ...
Foot Update
I have custom orthotics as I have big toes that don’t flex, I also have Morton’s neuroma in both feet that comes on after 6-7km. My physio got me doing a load of hamstring work, stretches and strengthening and is making such a big difference to the Morton’s neuroma. I hope you get a speedy resolution it is an awful pain. Rfc x
Fingers crossed for you xxx
I have a mild case of this problem, it only comes on occasionally though. I find shoes with foot-shaped toe boxes are helpful (worn all the time) or really any shoes that don't pinch the toes and do allow them to spread properly. Stretching the toes apart and massaging them every day has been helping to mobilise my toes.
I've gone for a new pair of shoes too, something with a bit more room around the toes. Early signs are that they're going to help, but I suspect it'll take a while.
Christ.. hope they get that sorted soon for you...🥴🤕
