Hi everybody,

Please feel free to share your how your race training is going and chat about it here.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week !

I've done nothing for a whole week!!! Nothing!!!! :D

Actually I've been resting, which isn't really nothing. I had sore toes and a slightly iffy knee (which all seem ok now, phew!) after the marathon. And I did walk a lot in the past week, and went windsurfing once (hooray!), although only on the lagoon.

I'm about to start a 5k training plan for my next race, which is in June. Aiming for <25 minutes (eek), so I need some luck - TIA! :)

You need a rest after your grueller

Good luck with your fast training! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You have certainly earned the rest. And it's not true that you have done nothing; you have recovered, and as we all know, that is as important as training :)

Yes indeed! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

It is half term this week and I am struggling to be motivated to go out for my training runs. The little people are not so understanding as usually my runs happen when they are in school. Yesterday I had company on my run by a little person on scooter. Not a bad run but a little distracting!

No long run for me this weekend - I came home from my Easter holiday with a bad cold, and am still recovering. Hopefully I'll be out and about again tomorrow or Wednesday. Mostly I'm annoyed by the fact that my taste buds were affected, and there was no point in eating any Easter treats.

Oh yuck :( Maybe some treats after the run tomorrow/Weds? :)

Ouch, sorry to hear about the cold. That sucks, particularly when the weather is starting to be nice and you want to be out there enjoying it.

I have been lazy this past week, so now need to get back I to training mode - speaking of which, I am off out now, while the sun is shining. :)

Surely you have earned the rest after Paris. So hopefully you're enjoying being "lazy" (not!) and recovering.

Speaking of which - how was it?

I had a 34 km training run on Saturday that I couldn't complete as planned. At first it bugged the heck out of me, as I had to switch to run/walk to get home. But in a moment of inspiration I decided to be more zen about it and just be happy that I was able to cover the distance one way or another. That worked :)

Training route for next Saturday, when we're away caravaning again, mapped out. I look forward, apart from a few km of river side run next to the Ouse which I have covered before, it's all new roads and paths. I love new routes!

I like your thinking - you completed the distance!
