Our second My Macular and Me webinar of the month welcomes Howard Moshtael, the founder of BrightPage.
Whilst doing his PhD at Edinburgh University, Howard learnt that reading with central vision loss is easier if you don’t have to move your eyes. His idea was to find a tool which can scroll text in a natural way for reading. This would not be as a continuous scroll, but rather one that mimics the movements that our eyes make whilst reading. This way of reading turned out to be a great success and instantly boosted reading speed in both the fully and partially sighted.
Join our webinar to hear more about BrightPage and how you can try it. This My Macular and Me webinar will be taking place on Thursday 27th April at 6:30pm.
Thanks for the info on this app Carol; I tried it the other day and it's quite useful. I use White text on Black with single word and 1.25 speed.
There appears to be several other programs and app which do a similar thing, plus all the text readers that give you an audible speech output. They are useful for short things but I wouldn't like to have to listen to them for hours.
