I went fit my 5th tiund if injections tiday and the ophthalmologist told me that the treatment is working well and the the area in the centre of the macular is dry, but there is still fluid above and below. He mentioned this is harder to resolve, so .I will stay on 2 monthly injections for the time being. Has anyone else been told this and does anyone know why it’s harder to resolve the fluid above and below the macular?

I still see the black ‘blob’ in the centre of my field of vision in both eyes in low light situations and a grey patch in centre of vision in left eye.

Things have definitely improved though, just now confused why the remaining fluid is difficult to fix.

Dear BlurryArtist,

The best person to discuss this with would be your ophthalmologist as he is the only one who can see the exact cause of the fluid build up and the best possible way to treat it. You may be able to contact him by email via his secretary if you do not want to wait for your next consultation.

Kind regards,

Carol
