Does anyone live or live near Abergavenny? We are thinking of moving to here from Lincolnshire. Where do you go for your eye injections please. I’m currently having Injections for wet AMD. Which is the best hospital to go to for these.

There’s definitely a macular clinic at the Royal Gwent in Newport - very good.Your nearest hospital would be Nevil Hall in Abergavenny and then The Grange near Cwmbran. I’m not sure if either to Macular clinics. Although the Grange is the main hospital for the area so may well do.

Just found this, it refers to Nevil Hall having a macular clinic, but that was back in 2016.By the way, if you end up being offered an appointment in the Specsavers clinic mentioned do not be worried! I have been there and it’s excellent! It’s run by nhs staff and really good.
That was an interesting read about Specsavers, and I feel very reassured about Abergavenny & Gwent hospitals now. Thank you so much.
