Daylight lamps

I enjoy reading, crosswords and jigsaws but struggle to see them on a table.

Which is the best daylight table/desk lamp ?

Reviews of some state that they are excellent for small craftwork but would not light a jigsaw or board game for example.

We recently bought a standing lamp with 3 adjustable LED lights which make a large lit area together or separate smaller ones. B&Q, about £100, LED bulbs included. It's the bulb itself which dictates the quality of light. We prefer the "cold" white rather than yellow white but everyone is different.

Don't know if you can go anywhere at the moment to view and compare?

They had a range of table lights too.

I've seen ads on TV for expensive lights similar to the rnib ones which are also pricey but our low vision clinic says you can just buy LED bulbs to put in your own and have the same result for a few pounds :)

We've bought off amazon and in b&q, there's every fitting imaginable and in either white or yellow light, and a range of brightness (we got the brightest we could). Dimmable LEDs are more difficult to find but are available.
