Macular degeneration injections

I had an injection 2 days ago and vision is still foggy at a distance. Is that normal?
Hi Cher71. It is usual for the eye to be a bit blurry for a day or two afterwards but if it is still like that on Monday, I would contact your Eye Hospital and ask their advice. Alternatively, you could contact the Macular Society and ask advice from their Helpline - 0300 3030 111. Good luck. x
Hi, Cher 71, it does take a couple of days to settle down, and of course it is important to use the drops they will have given you to use. Best wishes.
Yes normal sometimes take one week to back to normal vision
My vision took longer after last injection so it does vary. But if you have pain redness etc which is increasing you should get checked.
It always takes me a full week of worsened vision after injection before I begin to see improvements. Hang in there.
After my last injection my eye became swollen and very sore for about 18 hours. It was the first time iodine was used. Could it have been a reaction to that?
Yes it could be the iodine, I've had awful problems in the past with it, one time it was so bad that it affected my sinuses and affected my other eye too. I took photos and showed the opthalmologist the next time I went, I also asked the person who does the injections if he would like to see them - he declined. Tell your opthalmologist when you next go and he will put it on your file to have it flushed out properly. Good luck.
I had fuzzy vision and extreme light sensitivity for 4 or 5 days in both eyes following an injection in the one eye. It turned out it was from the Proparacaine they used to check my pressure. I called and they said to keep adding lubricating drops every few hours to flush.
Best Wishes!
