Generally speaking, the answer to that one is probably yes. But you need to ask your consultant for a fuller explanation.

My rather belated reply is that in wet AMD the 3 membranes of the macula separate. Then the spaces fill up with fluid. A bleeding occurs when the new blood vessels, which are very fragile, break and leak blood. So there is a difference but the result is the same. Hope that helps.
